Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Taskyard, operated by Farouk Adam (an individual based in Nigeria), handles information when you use the service. Contact us any time at support@taskyard.xyz.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you sign up we collect your name and email address (including through sign-in with Google, if you choose it). When you use Taskyard you provide the content you enter, such as account labels, tasker and assessor details, work logs, screenshots, payout records, resources, and any messages you send through Open Yard. Information from payments. When you subscribe, payment is handled by Paystack. We receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction details from Paystack, but we do not receive or store your full card number. Information collected automatically. Like most web services, we and our infrastructure providers automatically receive basic technical data such as your device and browser type, and log data needed to operate the service securely.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and operate Taskyard, to authenticate you, to enable the features you use, to process subscriptions, to communicate with you about the service and support requests, to keep the service secure and prevent misuse, and to comply with legal obligations. Taskyard's AI-assisted features (such as smart import and payout quick-entry) send the text you choose to process to an AI provider to structure it, and return a draft for you to review. We do not send login passwords through these features, and we do not log the content sent to or returned by the AI provider.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the service: Within your yard. Content you create is visible according to Taskyard's privacy wall and your own sharing choices. Taskers and assessors see only what is intended for them; what you publish on Open Yard is public. Service providers. We use third parties to operate Taskyard, including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Paystack (payments), Namecheap (email forwarding), and an AI provider for the AI-assisted features. They process data only to provide their service to us. Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.
5. A note on third-party platforms
Taskyard is a private record-keeping tool. When you record details about third-party annotation platforms or accounts, that information is stored for your own use. Taskyard is not connected to those platforms and does not share your Taskyard data with them. Your relationship with any such platform, and any information you provide directly to it, is governed by that platform's own policies, not this one.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal or legitimate operational requirements.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including access controls and a privacy wall that limits what other users in your yard can see. Sensitive credentials for the third-party platforms you manage are not required by Taskyard and should be kept in your own tools. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You can access and update much of your information directly in the app. You can request a copy of your data, correction of it, or deletion of your account by emailing support@taskyard.xyz. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data-protection law, including under Nigeria's data-protection framework.
9. Children
Taskyard is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@taskyard.xyz and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a significant change we will update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
